We were directed toward a glass case where there was a man who looked like Santa Claus, but he was wearing a red suit and had a white beard. He looked very much like Santa Claus, but he wasn’t.
The real Santa Claus wasn’t there. My disappointed disappointment made me feel like it was all a lie. I stopped believing in Santa Claus, and for many years I didn’t believe in God either.
